About the event:
Plektó duet is an ensemble formed by Cypriot musicians Eva Stavrou on flute and Natasa Hadjiandreou on percussion.The ensemble’s goal is to showcase the work of important composers of the 20th and 21st century to a wide audience, both in Cyprus and abroad, as well as to promote the characteristic timbres and extended techniques of our instruments. Plektó duet is involved, and very much interested in interdisciplinary projects, with the aim of expanding the boundaries of Art into an ever-changing society. One of their primary aims is educational action since both members, as educators, work on projects that actively involve students in the process of composing and performing musical pieces.
Plektó duet has received grants from competitive calls from the Cyprus Youth Board, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation and has organized concerts with great success at the Dance House Nicosia, the Cultural Foundation Bank of Cyprus, European University Cyprus and Technopolis20.Upcoming projects include premiering pieces from Cypriot composers organized by the Centre of Cypriot Composers, performing new pieces at Artos Cultural Foundation and organizing a workshop at Fengaros Music Village in Cyprus.

"VOSKRESENIE" - is celebrating its 45th anniversary. By today's standards, not so much. But 45 years is the age of awareness and wisdom, when life begins to play new colors and... the time of renaissance is coming. Over the past few years, interest in the work of Alexey Romanov and the band "VOSKRESENIE" has increased noticeably. Concert halls are filled with young people. Евгений расскажет вам о том, что искал в сотнях городов, всё интимно - так и должно быть, когда в деле замешана поэзия. Такие вечера заставляют городские огни гореть ярче, машины - мчаться быстрее, а любовь становиться слаще.
Евгений Соя - автор девяти книг стихотворений, и нескольких десятков композиций, среди которых хиты: "Эхо тысячи вокзалов", "Люблю" (исп. мария чайковская), "Дует ветер" (исп. Михаил Бублик) и другие.
На концерте прозвучат лучшие стихи за 15 лет творчества, до встречи.

About the event:
Nicosia International Festival presents the musician and orchestrator, Avraam Kontos and the Cyprus premiere of his latest album “Psychographia”. The lyrics of (Psychographia) belongs to the poet Koumettos Katsioloudis. Inspired by the Halcyon days (Alcyonides), the composer engages in introspection and captures the intricate facets of human nature through the compositions “Soul” and “Utopia”.
Avraam Kontos will also present his works inspired Ntinos Kontos’ poems, included in his poetry collection titled “Poetic Nostalgia”. The lyrics revolve around the occupied villages of the Maronite community in Cyprus: Ayia Marina, Asomatos, Karpasia, and Kormakitis. The tragic events stemming from the Turkish invasion, the harrowing experiences of the bombings and the displacement of the villages’ inhabitants carry a profound meaning for the composer. Through his orchestration he communicates the universal themes of nostalgia for the homeland, and hope for return.
Born in Cyprus with studies in classical guitar at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Avraam Kontos has already embarked on a promising musical journey, collaborating with renowned artists such as Christos Thivaios, George Dalaras, Lavrentis Machairitsas, Alkinoos Ioannidis, and Lina Nikolakopoulou

Тимур Каргинов - стендап-комик, креативный продюсер, ведущий «KuJi Podcast» 4 октября выступит в Лимассоле, Pattihio Theatre!
Тимур стоял у истоков зарождения стендап-индустрии в России. С самого начала и на протяжении всей своей карьеры комик экспериментировал с формой и манерой подачи материала, внимательно исследуя повседневную жизнь во всех ее проявлениях. Каргинову всегда было важно разговаривать с аудиторией только на те темы, которые действительно его волнуют.
Поэтому после долгого перерыва комик решил поделиться накопившимися размышлениями в новом концерте, с которым отправляется в сольный тур.
В свежей программе Тимур делает акцент не на количестве шуток, а на глубине каждой своей мысли и говорит только о том, что живо интересует его самого. Как и прежде, Каргинов создает самобытную комедию с интеллектуальным подтекстом, где содержание важнее формы.

With elements of documentary theatre, original dramaturgy, and contemporary Greek music – a traditional and punk combination – by Thrax Punks, the performance by the 4frontal group directed by Thanasis Zeritis and Charis Kremmydas is based on the true story of Spyridoula, a 12-year-old maid, who shocked public opinion in the 1950s.
It is a production of the Athens Epidaurus 2023 Festival, premiered at 260 Piraeus Street in the framework of grape - Greek Agora of Performance, the platform for the international promotion of Greek performing arts.

Η θεατρική συναυλία «Χρώματα» αποτελεί μια πρωτότυπη παρουσίαση του δίσκου με τον ομώνυμο τίτλο «Χρώματα» του τραγουδοποιού και καλλιτέχνη Σάββα Χρυσοστόμου. Εξ αφορμής αυτού, γράφτηκε και το θεατρικό δημιούργημα στην κυπριακή διάλεκτο ως συνοδεία από τον Κύπριο ποιητή και συγγραφέα Γιώργο Πᾳπακωνσταντίνου το οποίο εκδόθηκε μαζί με τους στίχους των τραγουδιών σε ένα ενιαίο διήγημα με τον τίτλο Χρώματα. Κάθε τραγούδι και ένα χρώμα της παλέτας των ανθρώπων.

"Do I quit dancing after junior high? Or after I dance the Bolero - one of the most famous roles in the history of dance?"
As part of the Parallel Programme of the Nicosia International Festival... that never ends, Anastasia Paschali invites the young generation to an evening of dance and discussion on 14 January, at 19:00, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. The Cypriot ballerina will share her experiences and joys, difficulties, life lessons and the most precious moments of her career, through photos and videos, in an open discussion with the audience. She will present a short choreography entitled "2-1+1", performed by Sophia Hadjigeorgiou, Evangelia Lambrou, Maria Gerasimou, Mikaella Neophytou and Sotia Nicolaou.
